Apple CEO Tim Cook announced through a tweet that Apple had sourced and procured 10 million masks to donate to the medical community in the United States and expressed his gratitude for the real heroes on the frontline of this war.

In a tweet posted two hours ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook shared that Apple had sourced and procured 10 million masks to donate to the medical community in the United States as well as millions more for the regions hit the hardest by Coronavirus in Europe. Apple is using the power of its extensive and global supply chain to procure masks. Tim Cook tweeted that the operations team at Apple was helping to find and purchase masks from its supply chain in coordination with governments around the world. Apple CEO wrote,

“Proud to share we’ve been able to source 10M masks for the US and millions more for the hardest-hit regions in Europe. Our ops teams are helping to find and purchase masks from our supply chain in coordination with governments around the world.”

Tim shared his tweet with a video message. he said he was working from home like many others around the world. He also suggested people stay indoors and if going out for something important, they maintain a safe distance of at least six feet. Apart from expressing his gratitude for the medical community, Apple CEO thanked the people working to ensure the supply of all basic necessities including warehouse workers, delivery people and those working at the supermarkets. He said that these are the toughest moments and we need to show our strength. Tim wished everyone out there to stay healthy and safe.
